On behalf of the Hawaii Department of Education and in partnership with other states, Cambium Assessment, Inc (CAI) will conduct a series of virtual, facilitated science item reviews on pre-scheduled dates this summer. There will be two types of reviews:
1. Review of new science test items and item clusters to be field tested in SY 2022-2023, considering content, fairness, and accessibility criteria.
2. Rubric validation of items field tested in SY 2021-2022 to verify machine-scoring rubrics are scoring accurately and fairly for all students.
To facilitate the participation of educators across states and time zones, we are scheduling training and review sessions over a broad set of dates/times. Willing educators will register for a session based on their availability.
